Our Newest Neighborhood Haunt, Claudine's and Plums. A winning combination!!

I am a girl who likes a pink drink! I know, I know - you’re thinking: cranberry martini, glass of Rose wine, or a raspberry-infused mojito. Nope! While I won’t turn those down, what I’m really talking about is a Shirley Temple! So, when I walked into Claudine’s and saw that their Soda Fountain was comprised of craft sodas, with a Shirley Temple option, my heart was sold. But that was just the beginning.

The two co-owners, Lea and Anthony, couldn’t be more inviting and excited about their new venture. They are making a superbly concerted effort to talk to and get to know the customers that walk through their doors, every day, making this new Café feel like a true neighborhood haunt. The fact that the food is Organic, Locally sourced and delicious…is an all-time added bonus.

Lea is a pastry chef and arrives around 3AM every morning to bake ALL of their sweets, fresh, daily. Anthony heads up the savories with a Classical and Fine Dining Training. The two couldn’t complement each other more perfectly and it shows. With Shao Tam at the helm, in the kitchen, this team cannot be beat!

Whether you’re eating a salad (my faves are the Bali Crunch and Organic Chicken Chop), a sandwich (the Short Rib Grilled Cheese trumps the Grilled Cheese truck any day of the week) or one of their daily specials…the Frogs Hollow apricot and Kale salad…OMG, you are in for a party in your mouth. And for those of you seeking even healthier or diet-specific items, they have Vegan options every day. Now you probably want to know which pastry I’d opt for. That’s easy: All of them! What I mean is, I haven’t had a disappointing experience yet and I’ve tried A LOT! My faves so far: the chocolate chip cookie, the Lemon Custard tart and the Crème Brule shot. All complimented by a specialty coffee from their coffee bar, a glass of Sangria from their bar or my personal favorite, a Shirley Temple. I mean, c’mon!

In an exciting twist, we’ve provided over 100 plums from our fruit tree to Claudine’s. Tomorrow, June 5th, the restaurant is making a Plum-Inspired Brunch from 8-10 AM. Please join us to support our newest neighborhood eatery. You won’t be disappointed in the food. In fact, your taste buds will thank you. And the company is your community. So, come on out and have breakfast with us tomorrow morning. What could be a better way to start your Sunday? See you in the AM.
